Court Liquidation
Also known as compulsory liquidation, this process is initiated by a court order, often following a petition by creditors, directors, shareholders, or the Secretary of State. This occurs when a company is insolvent and unable to pay its debts. In court liquidation, an official receiver is appointed to liquidate all assets of the company to repay creditors as much as possible.
